To be proactive is the first step to success.
In the past few days, I saw many things that by themselves could be complete posts, but combined can be good reading.
You’ll get links to articles and news that I believe are either important for us online marketing people, or they are interesting, or simply useful.
On Mashable, there was this: Facebook Launches WordPress Tool, Makes Blogging More Social. I will install it on my blog and let you know how useful it actually is. It’s a plug-in developed by the Facebook people to integrate seamlessly with WordPress.
If you use EverNote, the awesome online free tool to help you organize your life by ordering all kinds of information, and if you didn’t know you can take audio notes, you’ll be happy to read this article: How To Record Your Audio Notes. It talks about other tools as well, like OneNote in Office 2010 and AudioNote, an app for PCs, MACs and smartphones such as the iPhone and Android devices.
Mashable ( I love that site ) also had a very interesting piece for those of us who are looking for alternatives to Facebook and Twitter: 10 Niche Social Networks You’ve Never Heard Of.
At APSense, the business social network, one of the numerous features are the articles from different sources, thanks to feeds chosen among the best news sources on the planet. There was this awesome piece a few days ago: How to Create a Total Online Presence When You Really Don’t Have the Time. It’s chockfull of tips to help us figure out how to brand ourselves better.
The last thing I want to mention can be found on my Facebook Tips page on this blog. It’s a link to a recording to a webinar by Mari Smith titled “10 Essential Facebook Money-Making “Techie” Tips with Mari Smith“.
To be proactive in online marketing also means to be on the look out for bits of news that can help correct course along the way, or to follow trends.
